Calligraphy Alphabet Made Easy
![]() |
When it comes to using the calligraphy alphabet, your options are endless. There are hundreds of different styles to choose from and using a pen is not the only way to write calligraphy anymore.
The calligraphy alphabet is no longer used just to write letters or notes; you can find it on greeting cards, flash cards, and the ever popular scrapbooking.
Learning calligraphy has been made simple, you don’t have to be an expert; there are pre-made alphabet sets that allow you to transfer letters by tracing or stamping.
These pre-made sets come complete with the entire alphabet in both upper and lower case. You have your choice of different fonts so that you can add you own personal touch. Many of the pre-made sets also include numbers that you can use.
When you use the stamps, all you have to do is pick out the letters and numbers that you would like to use, peel them off, and place them on a clear acrylic block, this would look like a stamp. They stick really well, so as soon as you’re done placing the letters, you’re ready to stamp. Many people arrange the letters on lined paper before they stick them to the clear block in order to keep the letters straight and lined up. These stamps are easy to clean and store once you’ve finished. You can also buy calligraphy sets that have a variety of words on them for all occasions that you can use to place on the stamps.
Another way to use the calligraphy alphabet is rub-on transfers. There are many different transfer sheets to choose from. Once you choose the set you would like, you simply take the plastic tool that comes with the set and rub the back of the alphabet sheet to transfer the letters you would like to use onto the paper of your choice.
The use of stickers is another way to use the calligraphy alphabet. This is one of the easiest methods. Simply peel and stick. The only drawback is that the letters are not flush with the paper and sometimes the edges will start to peel. This is the most popular method that people like to use when scrapbooking.
Since there are so many different types of alphabet calligraphies to choose from, you might want to go online and do a little research on the different styles and forms that are available. Once you find what you are looking for, you can often find a printable alphabet that you can print for reference.
If you’re all for an adventure, you might want to use the pen and paper method and take a stab at drawing the calligraphy alphabet yourself. It can be a little challenging and takes time, patience, and practice to master, but it is also a lot of fun to learn.
With all the different options available to you the sky’s the limit when it comes to using the calligraphy alphabet.
